The Sons and Brothers are excited to announce the release of their latest album, WestGrass. As is suggested by the title, WestGrass is a combination of the aggressive instrumental work and powerful vocals found in bluegrass, and the themes of horses, mountains and cowboys so characteristic of the Rocky Mountain West. Not to say that WestGrass is all about cowboys, it also includes songs such as gospel classic "Sweet Hour of Prayer," Bill Monroe standard "Old Ebenezer Scrooge" featuring Ron Thomason on harmony mandolin, "She" by Gram Parsons and a new Joe Wolking original "Oh Captain, My Captain" based on the Walt Whitman poem of the same title.
